How to Remove Text from Video for Free: Preview Before Paying

Start by checking whether the text is a separate subtitle track or part of the video image. A separate track can usually be switched off or removed without AI. First, check the subtitle type
If a player lets you turn the subtitles off, use that setting. To create a file without that track, remove the subtitle track in an editor or a remuxing tool. This preserves the underlying picture and avoids an unnecessary AI task.
If the words remain visible when subtitles are off, they are likely embedded in the picture. This includes burned-in captions, recording timestamps and title overlays. AI fills the selected area using surrounding visual information; it does not guarantee recovery of the exact original pixels.

- Choose a representative clip. The preview processes the first 15 seconds. If the difficult text appears later, trim a copy so that scene is at the start before uploading.
- Open the editor and choose your video. MP4, MOV and WebM are supported containers. Codec compatibility still matters; an H.264 MP4 is a useful alternative when a file cannot be read. The current upload limits are 2 GiB, 60 minutes and 1080p input resolution.

What happens after the free preview?
Full-video jobs use one-time credits, with no subscription or automatic renewal. Selected-area removal costs 1 credit per started 5 seconds; automatic full-frame removal costs 2 credits for the same unit. A 12-second video therefore uses 3 or 6 credits. The editor shows the estimated cost before you start.
Purchased credits do not expire. A failed full-video task returns eligible charged credits once; a completed result with visual imperfections does not automatically qualify as a processing failure. Review the actual preview first.
